Have Questions? Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
  • 1: I want a fully custom cake topper, where do we start? +

The first step is filling out the form above with a detailed description of your idea. In this description it’s important to mention how many characters including people or pets that’d you’d like as well as specifics about any props. Props include motorcycles, skateboards, cars, trees or just about anything you can imagine. Back story is always helpful and be sure to describe the objects you’d like sculpted in as much detail as possible as this will determine how much labor it will require and provide more accurate pricing. Once the details are received I will get back to you with pricing within a few days and then we will get you scheduled on my calendar. It’s very important to give me at least a few months notice so that I can finish in time.
  • 2: How do you get the likeness? +

After you get scheduled on my calendar I require that you email me 4 to 5 photos of the couples and props that you’d like depicted so that I can attain a good likeness. I find that the more angles you get the better and providing photos of the desired facial expression is also very important. It’s also important to include eye colors, skin tones, hair color and hair styles in the description mentioned above.

  • 3: How long do you need to make them? +

This is dependent on the complexity of the topper, however, I have been known to finish most cake toppers within a 10 to 14 day timeframe so it’s a good idea to not procrastinate the process as sometimes I get booked with many toppers within a specific season. It is not uncommon for people to get scheduled 6 months in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly and the topper is received in a timely manner.

  • 4: What will they cost? +

The price for my custom cake toppers is as varied as the toppers themselves .The best way to get accurate pricing is to email the description mentioned above.
  • 5: Do I need a display case? +

Yes! The materials used to sculpt these is comparable to a porcelain in it’s durability so they will break if handled roughly. The best thing I have found is to buy some kind of case to display these in after the wedding to minimize dust accumulation. Cases can be found at most hobby shops or online. There are a number of custom acrylic case sites that provide cases for nearly all price ranges. I’ve found that glass bells jars are the best and most aesthetically pleasing way to display these but are sometimes hard to come by.
